Judd Matsunaga is a Los Angeles based attorney and founding partner of Elder Law Services of California, a Professional Law Corporation. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Matsunaga operates a full service real estate company as a Licensed Real Estate Broker - LACitywide Properties.
Judd Matsunaga
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I graduated Beverly Hills High School (Class of ‘76) and received my Bachelor's Degree in Economics from UCLA in 1980.
Right out of school I started selling apartment buildings right here in the Southland and obtained my real estate brokers license in 1981.
In 1989, I moved to Kahala, Hawaii to develop properties for sale to the Japanese investors. After the Tokyo Stock Market crashed in 1990, I moved back to Los Angeles and attended law school at the University of West Los Angeles.
My legal career began as a law clerk with Magana, Cathcart & McCarthy, a Century City law firm specializing in personal injury and wrongful death.
After passing the bar in 1995, I started as an associate attorney with Barth, Green & Kelly, a real estate defense firm, where I represented sellers and real estate agents being sued by disgruntled buyers.
Although working in civil litigation was an extraordinary experience, and an outstanding training ground for a trial attorney, I realized that litigation was not my "cup of tea." In 1996, I founded the law firm of Matsunaga and Associates, an estate planning law firm, and we have been growing strong ever since.
My primary practice areas are: Estate Planning (Wills and Trusts), Probate, and Medi-Cal Planning for Long-Term Care. Over the years, I have personally met with thousands of families with a loved one facing long-term care.
I am proud to say we have a 100% success rate in getting those family members approved for Medi-Cal benefits, while preserving assets and protecting the family home.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to have represented so many clients over so many years. I look forward to helping my existing clients and meeting and helping many new clients in the months and years ahead.

Kwi Yong Lee
Kwi Yong Lee has devoted her profession to Probate Administration and Litigation, Trust Administration, Estate Planning, Conservatorship Proceedings, and Medi-Cal Planning. Ms. Lee has extensive experience in handling all cases of Probate and Trust administration, while advising families with warm and ample guidance through these rather difficult times. Ms. Lee also regularly provides counseling and advice to other Attorneys and Paralegals at the firm.
Prior to working at Elder Law Services of California, Kwi has worked for Acuña & Casas, P.C. as an Associate Attorney, but then created her own firm shortly after. Kwi has been practicing law since 2007 and received her Juris Doctor at the John F. Kennedy University School of Law , and has managed over 100 cases related to probate, trust administration, contested trust, conservatorship, estate planning and related real property transactions.
In addition to her legal knowledge, Kwi also is a Certified Public Accountant since 1990 in the state of California and New York.
In her free time, Kwi enjoys serving her community on her time off and is heavily involved with community development. She has been a volunteer attorney for The Free Legal Clinic by Korean Attorneys Community Lawyers Association, Free Legal Clinic by Korean Attorneys American Bar Association, and as well as “Lawyer in the Library” program at the JFK Library in Vallejo, California, where she provided free legal advise at no charge. Kwi has served for the United States Air Forces her four years.
Furthermore, Kwi has fluency in English and Korean. Her position her at the firm is irreplaceable, and her skills are highly valued as an Attorney at Law.
